Seatbelt & The Pecking Order

Seatbelt and the Pecking Order have been playing together as a Roots & Rockabilly powerhouse for four years. This year saw the release of their first CD of all-original material, “Modern Sounds in Pagan Love Songs” met with rave reviews in the O.C. Weekly. Seatbelt & The P.O. tunes have been spinning on Rockabilly radio shows like “Shake The Shack” all across the USA in regular rotation ever since the CD hit the scene. This ain’t your typical San Pedro cover band! Mustang Sally won’t be found anywhere within a thousand miles of here.

Their high-energy stage show using vintage gear has been eaten up by all the good folks at places like The Blue Café, the Hard Rock Café, Godmother’s, Anaheim Stadium Supercross, as well as various other haunts in the South Bay. The band’s set consists of a mix of their original tunes blended with Rockabilly, Country, 70’s Glam and Roots classics all revved up and served piping hot Pecking Order style. The current lineup consists of Scott “Seatbelt” McLean on guitar and vocals, Dirk “Flowbee” Vandenberg on drums and vocals, and newest member Jim “The Kid” Matkovich on the Bull-Fiddle bass and vocals. The second Seatbelt & The Pecking Order record is already in the works and we’re rollin’ like a runaway freight train!
