Nestled against the hills of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, San Pedro is a lovely and
unique coastal port community. Its history and traditions stem from villages that
dot the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas. The multi-ethnic flavor of the town, its
warmth and hospitality, are reflected in the variety of its excellent cuisine.
There are few communities that can boast the number, diversity and caliber of
restaurants that abound in San Pedro. For years, they have enjoyed a well-deserved
reputation for excellence; many are recipients of prestigious awards.
On Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3, the 20th Anniversary Taste in San
Pedro will take place on the grounds of scenic Pt. Fermin Park, overlooking
the Pacifc with glorious views of the coastline and Catalina at its closest point
to the mainland. The venue was recently named one of the ten most family
friendly parks in the nations. This on-the-water site is worth a visit any
time of year, but on a summer day, under a cloudless sky, with refreshing ocean
breezes, the Taste promises to be a delightful gala
occasion.
