Volunteer Information

Dear Potential Applicant:

We hope that you will want to join us in celebrating and supporting the community and the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce's tradition of good food, good music, and good people. In this uncertain economy, we believe that the Taste in San Pedro offers families a wonderful experience close to home and at reasonable prices.

We need over 500 volunteers to help make the 23rd Annual Taste in San Pedro the best ever, so please ask your friends, neighbors and co-workers to join us! Volunteers can choose to credit their hours worked to various approved non-profit organizations to which a portion of the Taste net proceeds are donated too. We'll need volunteers to assist with ticket sales, beverage sales, gate assistance and more. All Taste volunteers must be at least 18 years old. For assignment to the day and shift you prefer, please fill out the application form below. No volunteer applications other than online submissions will be accepted. After submitting your online application you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt of your volunteer form by email. Job assignments will be given the day of the Taste when you check in for your shift(s). All volunteer positions will be assigned by the volunteer committee, we apologize but we cannot accept specific job assignment requests by volunteers. After checking in for your assigned shift all volunteers will be escorted to their assigned work location and will need to remain there until the end of their shift and then check out at the volunteer booth at the end of their shift for their chosen non-profit organization to receive the hours worked credit.

  • Official Taste of San Pedro Volunteer T-Shirt that MUST be worn during your shift
  • Complimentary admission to the Taste the day(s) you volunteer
  • Complimentary water or soda beverages while working a single shift
  • A complimentary meal ticket for volunteers working back to back shifts on either Saturday or Sunday

Our 23rd Taste will take place on August 5th, 6th & 7th at The Port of Los Angeles Waterfront Promenade. The Promenade with it's spectacular views of the Vincent Thomas Bridge, Cruise Ship Terminal and vessels entering and existing the port's main channel is an ideal setting and offers room for two main stages of continuous musical entertainment, delectable food, beer and wine booths, a Ferris Wheel, Children's Play Area with interactive activities, and some of the best artisans and crafters in San Pedro and the South Bay.

As a volunteer you are helping the local San Pedro community. Proceeds from the Taste support many of the chamber's educational, cultural, and community events as well as many local non-profit organizations. We couldn't do it without the support of our volunteers.
